What is Raindrop Therapy?

Raindrop therapy is a powerful, non-invasive technique utilizing the antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory action of several key essential oils to assist the body in maintaining normal spinal curvature: During the past 18 years, it has helped alleviate or resolve many cases of scoliosis, sciatica, kyphosis (hunch back), chronic back pain, and has eliminated the need for back surgery for hundreds of people.

Some spinal misalignments are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along the spine. These pathogens create inflammation, which in turn contorts and disfigures the spinal column.

Essential oils are some of the most powerful inhibitors of microbes known, and as such is an important new weapon in combating many types of tissue infections. Essential oils have the ability to penetrate the skin quickly and pass into bodily tissues to produce amazing therapeutic effects.

Raindrop therapy and your session.

The oils are dispensed like drops of rain from a height of about six inches above the back which are feathered and massaged along the vertebrae and back muscles. Although the entire technique takes sixty minutes to complete, the oils continue to work in the body for up to one week following Raindrop Therapy. Often with a continued re-alignment taking place over this time. Rain drop therapy helps with relaxation, emotional release, tissue cleansing and helps with spinal misalignments.

Raindrop techniques and modalities used in your session.

Vita flex technique means “vitality through reflexes”. It is a specialized form of hand and foot massage that is exceptionally effective in delivering the benefits of essential oils throughout the body. It is said to have originated in Tibet thousands of years ago and was perfected in the 1960s by Stanly Burroughs long before acupuncture was popular in western medicine.

Vita flex is based on a complete network of reflex points that stimulate all the internal body systems. Essential oils are applied to contact points, and energy is released through electrical impulses created by contact between the fingertips and reflex points. This electrical charge follows the nerve pathways to a break or clogs in the electrical circuit usually caused by toxins, damaged tissues, or loss of oxygen. These reflex points throughout the body are capable of releasing many kinds of tension, congestion, and imbalances.

The Lakota practice of effleurage or finger stroking is to distribute healing energy throughout the body. This technique creates a tingling effect for the recipient, commonly bringing them to goose bumps. The purpose of this feathering is to stimulate energy centers and awaken the receptors along the spine.

All of these techniques provide an exceptional experience that allows healing on a profound and deep level.

How and why does Raindrop Therapy work?

Doctor Gary Young incorporated into raindrop therapy nine of the most potent therapeutic/ grade essential oils.

All of these oils have been heavily researched. They were selected to synergistically combine to simultaneously kill viral and bacterial pathogens, reduce inflammation, support the immune system, ease respiratory discomfort, relax stressed muscles, curb digestive upset, and relieve body and joint discomfort, as well as balance energy, lift the spirit, restore calm, and increase the ability to concentrate.

RAINDROP TECHNIQUE

Raindrop technique is a sequence of anointing with oils and laying on of hands that brings structural and electrical alignment to the body in a relaxing and invigorating manner through the power of essential oils. There are many versions of the Raindrop Technique, but the same oils are always applied, though not always in the same sequence. Most of the Raindrop oils are high in phenolic content to ward off potentially damaging viruses and bacteria while cleansing cellular receptors sites to enhance inter- and intracellular communication and improve overall bodily function. Some raindrop oils contain a variety of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes to assist in deleting misinformation in the DNA and in reprogramming correct information in cellular memory to restore and maintain physical and emotional wellness. The oils used in the Raindrop Technique must be high-quality therapeutic grade and are as follows:

BALANCING BLEND (Valor) (contains oils of spruce, rosewood, blue tansy, and frankincense in an almond oil base) Gentle and soothing, it helps balance bodily electricities and stimulates spinal realignment. Affects the limbic system in a way to improve one's self-image, enhancing one's feelings of confidence, courage, and self-esteem. It contains esters, monoterpenes, and sesquiterpenes.

OREGANO(Origanum Vulgare) CT carvacrol. One of the most powerful antimicrobial essential oils. Research at Weber State University demonstrated a 99% kill rate against invitro colonies of Streptococcus pneumonia. High in phenylpropanoids, which cleanse cellular receptor sites.

THYME(Thyms Vulgaris) CT Thymol. Antiseptic, immune-enhancing, supportive of the body's natural defenses. Thyme has been used to combat the bacteria that cause anthrax. High in phenolpropanoids.

BASIL( Ocimum basilicum) CT Methyl Chavicol (estragole). It can be relaxing to both voluntary muscles and to the involuntary muscles as well. Voluntary muscles include all of the motor muscles of the arms, legs, back, abdomen, neck, and face. Mentally energizing and invigorating. Used for tension headaches. It can improve senses of taste and smell. High in phenolic ethers (estragole and anethole).

WINTERGREEN or BIRCH(Gaultheria procumbens or Betula alleghaniensis) Supports joints and skeletal structure. Composition of both of these oils is more than 80% methyl salicylate (a phenolic ester) which has a cortisone-like effect in that it may stimulate the body's own production of natural cortisone which has none of the unwanted side effects of synthetic cortisone. It also has analgesic properties inasmuch as its chemical structure is similar to that of aspirin.

MARJORAM(Origanum Marjorana) Relaxing to the involuntary muscles and to the voluntary muscles as well. Involuntary muscles include the heart, diaphragm, digestive track, and reproductive organs. Soothing to the nerves. Used for migraines. Antiseptic and antimicrobial. Marjoram is about half monoterpenes.

CYPRESS (Cupressus Sempervirens) Antimicrobial. Supportive of the circulatory and lymphatic systems. Stimulates the body's natural white corpuscle production 76% monoterpenes and 14% sesquiterpenes which may assist in restoring proper cellular programming to restore health and maintain wellness.

PEPPERMINT (Mentha Piperita) CT menthol. Supports the digestive system, respiratory system, and nervous system. Has been used for relief of headaches. Research has shown that inhaling peppermint improves concentration and mental retention. Detoxing to the liver. A synergistic oil that supports and improves the beneficial actions of other oils used in conjunction. High in phenolic, but contains 9% sesquiterpenes.

MUSCLE RELAXING BLEND (AROMASEIZ) (contains oils of basil, marjoram, lavender, peppermint, and cypress) Calming, relaxing and relieves tension. Relaxes muscles, including tight muscles and muscle spasms (seizures). May relieve headaches. It contains monoterpenes, esters, and phenols.

SOOTHING MASSAGE BLEND(ORTHOEASE) ( a massage base oil of wheat germ, grape seed, almond, olive, and vitamin E containing essential oils of wintergreen, juniper, marjoram, red thyme, vetiver, peppermint, eucalyptus, and lemongrass) Used in European hospitals, formulated to soothe muscle ache and minor swelling. Contains natural antioxidants.
